Stars Placed in the Expanse
There is a fairly common interpretation of Genesis which says the expanse between the waters on the second day is the
atmosphere above Planet Earth.
However, this is absolutely impossible because on the fourth day, God placed the sun, moon, and stars in this expanse.
The expanse on the second day is the expanse of space.
